Buddha Boy In Nepal Blog background

Hello and welcome,

We started this blog after we made a trip down to see Ram Bahadur Bomjom aka the Buddha boy of Nepal in early Dec 2005.
The name Buddha Boy is really not the best but until someone comes up with a better one that is how he seems to be known to the world at this time. We are not in any way affiliated with Ram Bahadur Bomjom or his family. We are a group of friends who have live in Nepal for a long time and are very interested in what Ram Bahadur is doing. There are a lot of stories out there and even more rumors. We will try to post here whatever information we can gather, photos and some video. But whatever information we gather here is very difficult to confirm so we will simply do our best to weed out the facts from the fictions and leave it up to you to decide.

What is the past history of a new Buddha? Where was he born, what was he like, what drove him to seek such path. Exact date of birth would be helpful to see his birth chart. Did he give any reasons why he has chosen to meditate for such a long time. When will his meditation end?

Hi Sam and Laura,

Excellent video, thanks for putting it up. I think its a shame when something like this occurs and most people who believe whats going on declare him a God, when really I believe he is just showing what all humans are capable of if we journeyed inside ourselves.

Lastly, I have no idea if this is for real but they are reporting today in Melbourne's The Age that he spontaneously combusted his clothes and that this was captured on video to be released at press conference in Nepal:

The Age doesn't cite its source for this report.

Thanks for this blog. I too, have been trawling the Web since hearing and SEEING Ram [on a TV documentary June-July 2006 roughly], hoping to find out more. After hearing of him disappear completely, i was slightly anxious for a moment, then i smiled.

Maybe RAM did it! You know....IT. He moved on!

But still, i wish i could have more evidence, proof to communicate to the papers and the University proffs', skeptics and miracle hunters; something tangible, a scientific explanation, something REALLY Real. Then i stopped again,

I smiled again, and thought, Maybe RAM DID IT. You know..... IT! He followed his thoughts and moved on.

So now YOU do it!

About the name Laura - I like to call him Ram Bomjon, but of course you see, the words are really just a distraction i guess, LOOK AT HIM following his thoughts....

Lo!

Bliss...

Perhaps he is the one announced in many ancient scripts.
Let's call him "Sunrise".

Greetings and Salutations!
My teacher Muhammad Raheem Bawa Muhayaddeen, a Sufi saint from Sri Lanka was reputed to not eat or drink. It should be noted that he never said that he didn't eat or drink, but no one ever saw him do so, and this became the word among his devotees. I certainly never saw him take any kind of food or drink. He was elderly when I first met him in 1976, probably around 85. The story goes that he was found in the jungles of Sri Lanka many years ago meditating alone as a 17 year old boy. Voluntary devotees began coming to see him and eventually he moved to a small mosque that the people set up for him and began teaching. In time he became world famous. Bawa passed on surrounded by his devotees in 1992 at his centre in Philadelphia USA. He was almost 100 years old.
The point I would like to make is not whether he actually ate and drank or not, just as I see the real point about Ram. The real point is who he is and his powerful meditation/tapas.
How many people can sit like this for months in meditation? Not many. Who knows, the dew of the early morning might run into Ram's mouth as he sits, birds might bring him fruit and put it in his mouth. The entire universe will sustain such a being even if he lifts not one finger to help himself. This was also true of Gautama Buddha; everything came to him.
Not eating and drinking is unusual but a human being becoming enlightened enough to save the world is much more sigificant. Ram could be such a being. I will be following any news about him from now on. I find it significant that he says he will meditate for 6 more years. This means he will be done around 2012.
2012 is the date that the famous Mayan Calendar says is the end of the old world cycle and the beginning of the new age.
Makes you go hmmmm doesn't it.
I myself have been waiting for a long time for a new world teacher that I have felt certain would appear soon. The world needs ONE, that is not in doubt.
Love & Joy,
Sufi Musfaad

hey, you should read about Balayogi, he was born on 23 october 1930. When he was 16-17 years old, he entered samadhi. He stayed 40 years in ecstazy, and he said, after him, some other buddha-childs will come.
meditation is the way

I think this is an awinspiring sight and yet more proof that there is alot more to us as a race than most seem to acknowledge.

Interesting- personally, I believe it- if Buddha himself could do all the things an ascetic could do, why not this fellow? Good luck to him- I'm sure he has his reasons for doing what he does.

so what is the latest update on the Ram? I had heard that he had vanished for a while, is he back? Where did he go for that time and why is no one in the media talking about Ram any more? I am from Nepal but staying in USA but I am finding it difficult to hear anything about him anymore. Do you have anything? I would like to hear more. Thanks
